You will begin your acquaintance with the city at the temple complex of Galta Ji or the Monkey Temple, surrounded by picturesque hills and sacred energy. Then, you will visit Hawa Mahal, known as the Palace of Winds, an astonishing architectural structure designed for observing the city life. Its unique construction impresses with the skill of architects who managed to create such a massive building thanks to precise calculation of its curved form. The facade of the Palace of Winds is adorned with windows, elegant patterns, and lattice work. Thanks to the multitude of windows, the palace is well ventilated, providing refuge from the intense summer heat, hence its name.

Exploring the picturesque streets of the city, you will visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, whose history began in 1459 when Rathore chief Rao Jodha decided to build a fortress on a rocky hill. This became the starting point for the construction of the city of Jodha, which became an important trading point on the route between Delhi and Gujarat. Under the rule of the Rathores, the fort prospered due to trade in opium, sandalwood, dates, and other goods.

You will take a walk in the Blue Village, where houses painted in shades of azure will amaze you with their picturesque beauty and authenticity.

During your visit to the fort, you will encounter endless corridors, palaces, and towers, each corner of which epitomizes the greatness of the history of this amazing place. To this day, a quarter of the city’s inhabitants use the fortress of the Maharajas as their home.

You will spend the night in the desert under the enveloping blanket-like starry sky.
